Thumbs up Questions & Answers ....

How long can a camel go without water?

The most important part of the camel is its hump.
When that hump is empty, it loses its firm shape and flops to one side . The purpose of the hump is to serve as a storage place for food.
The camel can also take its own water supply along. The camel has three stomachs.
It uses the first one to store food while it is grazing and to from it into cud.
In the second stomach are the digestive juices and in the third the chewed cud is digested.
In the walls of the first two stomachs, there are pockets for storing water.
Muscles holds these pockets closed when they are full.
Whenever the camel needs some water, these muscles open
and close to let out as much water as it needs. If a camel
travels slowly and with a light load, the water in its stomach
can last anything from six to ten days

where does chocolate come from?

The main ingredient of chocolate is cocoa from the fruit of the cacao tree.
The fruit is the size of a small melon and contains around 40 beans that are dried, roasted, then ground into a fine powder.
The Aztecs drank an unsweetened chocolate drink, often mixed with wine and flavoured with pimeno and pepper.
In the mid-nineteenth century solid chocolate bars were made in Europe from cocoa powder, cocoa butter, suger and sometimes milk

Is the koala a bear?

Although koalas look like small bears,
they are related to the ring-tailed possum and the great glider,
and are not bears at all!
They spend between 18 and 20 hours a day resting, and four to six hours munching the leaves of eucalyptus trees..

How does my memory work

Memory in the ability to store things that you experience and learn, ready for use in the future. Some things are remembered easily, such as dramatic events in our life. However, more ordinary things need to be rehearsed in the mind several times before the 'stick'. There are three
different ways of storing memory. Sensory memory , which
is very brief. tells you what is happening around you and
allows yo to move without bumping into things. Short-term
memory, which lasts for only about 30 seconds, and allows you to remember a phone number and dial it, but after a
minute or so it will vanish. Finally long-term memory, for
things that you have carefully memorized and learned.
